Visuals/ Moodboards
Mood Boards which contains the style that I want to have in my game and to take inspiration from.
First, I wanted to look at Low-Poly Landscapes. The art style that I want for my game is going to be low poly since this style would fit with the comedic theme.
Many colours are used to create vibrant landscapes. This is what I aim when creating cityscapes - for players to look around in their current environments.
The lighting is what makes the sceneries look pleasant, but this not what I need. My game would be best having unrealistic lighting as the sceneries would then not fit in with the game. Though, this mood board still serves purposes for inspirations.

Item interaction is important, so I looked up low-poly items that I took inspiration from:
Low-Poly Characters, ranging in different styles.
Octodad:
Next up is inspiration from games. This time, I created mood boards of "Octodad" and Surgeon Simulator since the style of the game are what we want to achieve.
Surgeon Simulator:
Taken the mood board that I made in phase 3
Real-Life mood boards. Made mood boards of different areas to help me create different landscapes for the player to be in.
City - Streets
Office - Where the player will be working at
Bathroom - Brush Teeth, Clean face
Finally, chopsticks. Chopsticks are what the player will be using all of the time, so I looked at different styles of chopsticks.
I will be using the chopstick mood board that I used for phase 3 as well:
So, from the visuals that I have collated into mood boards, there are a lot of colours used from low-poly models. We can also see the colours used by games as well. Often the colours are contrasted so that it fits with the style. These mood boards will serve as a source of references whenever I need them.
